This is why Mishka gets Advantage Multi for flea, worms, and heartworm protection.

We use ivermectin here for heart worm as well as mange, which since adopting Bones, I know more about mange than I ever wanted to. Claude is not as exposed to mosquitos as an indoor cat and has not required treatment.

Good thread/info. Rebecca. I lost my first dog that I ADORED when she was just 10yrs. old due to heart worms. We knew nothing about them back in the '70's. Our vet never suggested giving her prevention. It. was devastating!
Since then EVERY fur baby we've ever had has had all possible parasite prevention. We've used Revolution for yrs. with both our dogs and kitties. Mosquitoes can get to any pet whether they are inside or outside.
Thanks for bringing this up.
I would give a "thanks" to this post, but haven't figured out how to do that yet.

go to the original post and click on "say thanks".  It must be easy because I managed to find it.

The "Say Thanks" option should be able to found at the very top right corner of every post (except for your own), right before it says "Quote". IF (that is) I am remembering correctly. I'm currently using one of the other Theme's (Shelflife) and the "Say Thanks Option" isn't offered there (yet), but I still like it better than the default (Curve) theme.
